Barry has proved that the speed of light is slowing down.
I note: Barry might have a proof based on the concept that the speed of light is slowing down, showing that the universe was created 6000 years ago. This, of course, would nullify and refute and explain the long ages as shown by radioactive decay rates.

There is a very interesting book I purchased last week, and read.

The book makes the case that God could not create anything without withdrawing his power. If God is light, then, in order for there to be darkness, God has to remove himself at times, in order for there to be contrast. This explains why we have a God who does not always appear to be "here", a God who allows evil. Perhaps the most important point that I got from the book is that the Bible admits that God intervenes and speaks to other nations, not just to the nation of Israelites. Further, God was going to wipe out the Israelites twice, but didn't, when it was argued by Moses that doing so would diminish God's glory among the nations, because these were already his chosen people.
Bible Prophecy, in my opinion, explains further, that God will not always allow the evil that he allows today; that there will come a time of judgment and cleansing and rest for the earth, and a time when Satan will be imprisoned, to lead the people of the earth astray no more.

What is Freedom?
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty!
Freedom, to me, is like the angel of light that Satan must transform himself into, in order to make evil appear good.
Thus, monopolized trade rights and severe trade restrictions masquarade as free trade, when no such thing as free trade exists.
Free Choice is the masquarade used to justify abortion.
Freedom from want is the masquarade used to justify government theft of the productive class, to redistribute as handouts to buy votes, which is actually bribery of votes.
Freedom is the highest ideal of man; and results in the greatest productivity and efficiency and wealth for everyone, especially the poorest people who have nothing.
Freedom is abused by everyone who craves power over others. Freedom is abused by all who give or accept bribes to change laws in their own favor.
Nobody can be bribed to pursue the cause of freedom, because widows and orphans don't pay, and because pursuing the cause of true freedom is the opposite of corruption.
I've tried to elaborate on the true essence of Freedom over the years, these were some of my best philosophical musings:

People often ask me where I got my education on silver and gold and freedom, since there is no place on earth that really teaches this. I got it from the study of Bible Prophecy, specifically, by studying what is the opposite of gold and silver and freedom, namely, the mark of the beast. I also got it from studying over the internet, and from listening to my readers over the years.
Enough of my soapbox preaching; let's get to some facts.
The coming world government wants to put an implantable microchip into everyone's hand or forehead to track all buying and selling, this would create a totally unfree society, and anyone who objects to anything could simply have their chip deactivated, remotely, as punishment, as a sort of economic embargo, as an act of war, to ostracise those who believe in true freedom.
This truth about the Bible Prophecy of the 666, the mark of the beast, was my first real understanding of prophecy when I began to study it, way back in 1998, on the internet.

This tracking system is not coming overnight. But it's slowly coming more and more.
You cannot get a bank account without a social security number.
You cannot get a driver's license without a social security number.
You cannot register your car, without a social security number.
You cannot get any government benefits, without a social security number.
You cannot pay taxes, without a social security number.
In the new health care bill, by 2012, all businesses in the USA will have to submit a 1099 for every payment over $600, so they can track more of everything.
Green paper cash is somewhat inherantly anonnymous and untrackable; but it does have numbers on the bills that can, in theory, be traced. But paper cash is NOT the opposite of the mark of the beast. God's money system is honest weights and measures, not fraudulent pieces of paper.
Nobody can track silver or gold, of course, coins are not even marked with serial numbers! But they now have the law in place to track anything over $600.
Let me pause here. We KNOW they want to bring about the biochip implant. I believe and hope that among people in the USA, about 30% of the people in this generation would fight to the death before taking it -- as there are still too many Christians who have a bit of understanding out there.
This, in my opinion, partly explains why we Christians are the salt of the earth, why we preserve freedom and righteousness, why the pretribulation rapture is needed for them to bring their plans to the ultimate fulfillment.
So, maybe they will delay their plans for 10-20 years, as many people grow weary of the warnings, or maybe they will slowly introduce it soon, to the people who won't object to it.
Let me move to different issues related to this mark of the beast.

Obama's birthplace. Obama is causing a problem for "us" because we, among the most conservative, have tried to make this an issue. I now think we were baited wrongly by our wrong attitute towards the issues. John McCain also was not born on US soil, but on a military base, thus, the "powers that be" who selected the potential presidential puppets helped to push this issue to the forefront of the nation.
Similarly, immigration is becoming more and more of a hot button issue. The powers that be are baiting the conservatives into making this an issue. The ready made solution, that they must be itching to introduce, of course, is their global person tracking system that can be put into place with implantable microchips.
God's views on these things, rather than the US constitution, is a safeguard against the mark of the beast. God's ways leads to liberty.
Leviticus 19:33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.
Leviticus 19:34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
Again, the problem of illegal immitrants taking more than their fair share of handouts is not a problem of the immigrant, it's a problem of the US giving out too many handouts!

Too many people today think the Constitution gives us our rights. No. Our rights are all God given. The Constitution only recognized some, and prohibited the Government from trampling upon them.
Remember the 10th Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
Clearly, the Constitution is ignored, but it is important to remember the source of our freedom.
