What If? Ron Paul Just Wanted to Spread the Ideas of Freedom?

(WHAT IF... Ron Paul ran for President, not to win the Presidency, but to spread the ideas of freedom like a wildfire!!!!)

Silver Stock Report

by Jason Hommel, February 25th, 2013

Let's review some of the most successful peaceful strategies for promoting freedom recently.

1.  Ron Paul's Presidential Race.  I'm listing Ron Paul first for a reason, as I think he has been the most successful Libertarian who has more successfully advanced the cause of Liberty than anyone else in the past 100 years.  He ran for Congress to promote the ideas of Liberty from the national stage.  He was far more successful in promoting the ideas of Liberty simply by running for President twice, and failing.  Running for office works to promote the ideas of Liberty, even if you fail.

My brother, Terbo Ted, got 2% of the vote when he ran for Congress, which looks like a horrible failure, but during the campaign, he and I noticed that he would carry about half the room when he spoke about the Constitution in response to questions, and the other candidates saw that, and very quickly, they began leaning more towards referencing the Constitution in their responses as well.

Rand Paul, Ron's son, is now a senator.  And many other Libertarian Candidates have ridden the coattails of Ron Paul's popularity, and secured offices as well.  The point is that when you promote freedom, even a fail is a win, so you can't lose!

2.  Ron Paul inspired people to get involved in local politics.  The wins go to those who show up.  It's much easier to show up in local politics than it is to show up on the battlefield with a gun.  Show up.  This has been successful as Ron Paul Libertarian candidates have been elected to positions of authority in the Republican party.

http://www.examiner.com/article/miami-gop-elects-dozens-of-ron-paul-supporters-to-executive-committee

And there are many electable positions open; town councils, PTA boards, State Legislator, County commissioners, and on and on.

I've heard from outspoken Libertarians what they would do first if they were President of the United States.  Worst Libertarian answer in my opinion? "Resign, as I don't want to rule anyone".  Um, no.  Don't resign yourself, fire everyone else!  Most many federal agencies just need to be disbanded and sent home!

3.  Jury Nullification.  Informing the public that when serving on a jury, that they have the right to judge the law, as well as the facts of the case, (despite that the Judge may say otherwise) and render a "not guilty" verdict if the law is deemed unjust or unconstitutional acts as a veto on tyrannical laws, and if there are enough "not guilty" verdicts, it renders bad laws powerless.  I don't think this has seen too much success yet, but I know it seriously bothers corrupt people in charge, and they are now beginning to try to exclude jurors who admit to believing in "jury nullification".

4.  Grand Juries.  The Grand Jury has the power, like the district attorney, to bring charges, called an indictment, against anyone, including corrupt politicians.  The Grand Jury is made up "of the people".    Read "The Hidden 4th Branch: A Corrupt Government's Worst Nightmare" all about the power of the Grand Jury.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_Blagojevich

Blagojevich, former Governor of Illinois, is now serving a 14 year sentence.

Blagojevich was indicted by a federal grand jury in April 2009.

Imagine if enough people who served on Grand Juries knew that they could bring fraud charges against Obama for identity fraud.  And then, issued charges of "conspiracy" against any Federal Judge who fraudulently dismissed the charges or case!

The trouble with corruption and threats against Federal Judges is that unless there is an equal threat against them from Grand Juries who can send them to jail, then they will just roll over when corrupt Federal agents bribe them or threaten them.

5.  Running for the offices of District Attorney, or Sheriff.  The Libertarian movement has been successful in teaching Sheriffs that they are the highest law enforcement officer of the land of their counties, ahead of any Federal Officers, who must act only by way of permission of the Sheriff.  This has been reflected in the numerous Sheriffs in recent months who have opposed any further restrictions on the Second Amendment, and who have threatened to arrest any Federal agents or officers who try to enforce any unconstitutional laws on the matter.

6.  Ballot Initiatives.  Carla Howell is one of the most successful libertarians in the nation, by failing (but nearly succeeding) to get "eliminate the sales tax" ballot initiatives passed in Massachusetts.  Cost?  Under $100,000, and it almost eliminated an entire State's sales tax!  Wow!  Do you realize how close we are to a more libertarian society, if only Libertarians knew what to do?
http://carlahowell.org/

7.  Run for Governor!

Gary Johnson ran for Governor of New Mexico, and won the office, by spending a shockingly low amount of money, only a half of a million dollars of his own money, back in 1995, and raised less than $50,000 from supporters.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Johnson

Gary Johnson was the Libertarian candidate for President in 2012.

While governor, Gary vetoed more bills than all other governors combined.

And let's not forget former governor, Jesse Ventura, now a staunch Libertarian.

8.  Newsletters.  The power of blogging, making youtube videos, facebook, and sending out emails cannot be underestimated.  The internet is really teaching many people to become Libertarian.  lewrockwell.com  silverstockreport.com  8-)

Hint: Friend me on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/jason.hommel

I spent about $500,000 in google advertising under the keywords "silver" and "gold" to obtain the 68,000 emails that are on this mailing list.  But that was organic growth as I spent money from my followers who wanted a "look at my portfolio" several years ago to gain a larger audience.

9.  Formal Libertarian education.
http://mises.org/

Libertarians often start somewhere, or come from somewhere, such as the Von Misses Institute.  If you have a teen considering colleges, suggest this one.  It's one of the only ones I would consider for my own sons these days.  Anyone can enroll for online classes.

One silver advocate started his own online academy.
http://dont-tread-on.me/

10.  Introducing legislation that will likely fail, yet sends a powerful message.  I love this one from last week, it really got me thinking about writing this article!

MISSOURI GOP REP. TURNS THE TABLES ON DEMS: INTRODUCES BILL THAT MAKES PROPOSING GUN CONTROL LAWS A FELONY

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/19/missouri-gop-rep-turns-the-tables-on-dems-introduces-bill-that-makes-proposing-gun-control-laws-a-felony/

Think about this:  Some people want to make it a felony to own a gun.  Perhaps they are the ones guilty of breaking the law, the law of the second amendment.

Perhaps it's only a matter of time before more Libertarians are elected to the office of District Attorney, and then they can file charges against corrupt politicians directly, for things like treason.  Trouble is, if the jury does not go along with it if the jury is too liberal, and Libertarian DA's can't get a conviction, well, that's the same thing that prevents tyranny from advancing now isn't it?

11.  Buy silver, promote silver!

The power of the Federal Government is quite literally limited by their power to print money.  If they don't have that power, then they cannot pay for their minions to do anything.  If they can't pay their minions to oppress us, then oppression will fall and fail.  Imagine if the government ran out of money, and could not fund the TSA, and they all stopped showing up for work.  Legislation to repeal the TSA could be irrelevant and unnecessary.

Buying silver is potentially the most powerful action of peaceful political change in my opinion, but it just has not yet been as successful as some of the other strategies, not yet.

Some of these tie together.  Ron Paul once owned a bullion dealership that sponsored lewrockwell.com.  Infowars.com is also sponsored by a bullion dealership.  Promoters of Gold in their personal investment newsletters are also often promoters of the ideas of Liberty.

12.  Email me.  I actually read most of my own mail, which surprises people.  I actually try to respond to most of them.  My capacity to respond individually breaks down when about 200-300 people respond to one email though.

Have I missed any other very successful way to promote the ideas of liberty?  Please let me know, and I'll consider including it in one of my next newsletters.

13.  Future successful strategies might be entirely through the Biblical model.  Repent!  Turn back to God.  Pray for deliverance.  God may well send a deliverer, as happened many times in the book of Judges, and work miracles, specifically to Glorify God and so that man cannot take the glory.

Give to Churches, or freedom oriented ministries or freedom advocates.  Or advocate freedom yourself through discussions, or any of the ways above, or any of a billion other free market oriented creative ways!  It is absolutely amazing how much can be accomplished for so little when you are advancing the cause of liberty for all, instead of advancing your own self interest.

Are Teachers in Unions Traitors to the Constitution?

(Pro Government Edumacation Propaganda)

Silver Stock Report

by Jason Hommel, February 23rd, 2013

Employee at JH MINT to Jason:  "Jason, don't go insulting teachers now! We'll lose customers!"

Jason to Manager at JH MINT:  "It's ok.  Teachers don't make that much, besides, the ones who would be likely become our customers won't be offended anyway."

Employee to Jason: "Oh, you are bad!  I love it!"

Ok, let the article and the roasting of teachers commence:

If people buy enough silver, and paper money crashes, government might get so small, that it stops funding things like public education.  Or, expressed another way:

If the government continues to print money like crazy to pay for things, the money will continue to be devalued until, well, I hate to be the bearer of good news, but sometimes the paper money devalues all the way to zero.

What might the world be like if there was no paper money to pay for the extravagance of our current federal overlords?

This can be a dangerous thing to think about, but it's better to think about it now and be prepared, because things like that tend to happen after paper money fails; and especially if the world rightly starts using silver and gold as money.

See, government can't print silver and gold to make up deficit spending, and silver and gold are hard to confiscate in taxes, and are much harder to track, and income taxes are typically much lower, as in zero, when silver and gold are used as money.  The income tax started the same year the Federal Reserve was founded in 1913, so without the Fed, there was no income tax in America for 200 years before the founding of the nation, and not for 150 years later; that's 350 years of no income tax in America, vs. the last 100 with an income tax.  And the last 100 years of income tax really didn't get bad until after WWII.  So, we really have about a 400 year history as a successful nation flourishing with little to no income tax vs. the last 68 years with a heavy income tax.

Thinking like this can be dangerous, I warn you in advance.  As long as you don't remain in denial, the trouble with right thinking is that once it gets into your brain, you can't erase it.  And it will swim around in your brain until eventually, you might start to accept it, until it will come out of your mouth and that's when it might get you into trouble.

How so?  In many cases, people are not allowed to think for themselves like I do, but rather, they must do as their bosses tell them to do, or what the "culture" says is "politically correct".  It's like this for teachers, for journalists, and for brokers.  They are all employed to push an agenda.  Teachers push liberalism in social studies, journalists push what their global media masters demand, and brokers push the stocks on the books of their investment houses.  I suppose many other professions are like this, from the police, to lawyers, and perhaps most union jobs, politicians, and I'm sure I'm missing other good examples.

Hey, it's even dangerous for me, because I may alienate my customers, so even I have to be careful.

I want to limit my discussion to government education in today's letter, otherwise there is just too much to cover.

I have two examples from school I'd like to share.  In my High School Junior English class back in 1987, I was getting discouraged.  I kept getting B's on my essays, despite my best efforts at analyzing the literature up for discussion.  I didn't know what else to do, and one day I just gave up.  Instead of analysis, I simply said how great the literature was, and I parroted back the same exact analysis that was discussed in class with absolutely zero new insights.  To hide the lack of real discussion and analysis in my essay, I enlarged my handwriting to fill the page.  I was expecting a D minus, or even an F.  I was almost ashamed of myself.

Some of you might guess what happened next.  I got an A.  My first A.  I was simply astounded.  Flabbergasted.  Surprised beyond belief.  I could not believe it.  I seriously wondered why.  I went to the teacher.  I explained myself.  I admitted there was no analysis.  She rebuked me.  Of course there was analysis; the same one we discussed in class, she said.  Exactly, I said.  Exactly, she said.  What?  I don't get it, don't you want us to analyse it?  But you did, she said.  And you kept it short, simple, to the point, and you were exactly on point, and understood the class discussion exactly, she said.  But I felt I didn't analyse anything; I felt like a tape recorder with zero brain activity or real analysis.  I brought no new insights to the table, nothing original, no indication that I was thinking about what we read.  But I showed I was paying attention in class, she said.  That's thinking about it.  Wow.  I don't know if the goal of my teacher was an intent to crush my spirit, but wow.

My second example is from my college days.  I was three credits short to graduate, and so I took one final class, stretching out graduation another semester.  (I now realize I should have taken two classes that last semester on the rare event that I failed a class.)  Anyway, it was some sort of political science class that I thought would be easy and interesting.  But it was more like political indoctrination, and I ended up hating the class, and during discussions, I mostly was just working on keeping my mouth shut so I could get through it.  I could sense that arguing against the indoctrination was risking being failed, and I really didn't want to risk not getting my diploma for another semester!

For the final exam, I had to write an essay.  The topic was something like "fairness in education".  The basic thrust of the essay was to parrot back the views presented in class, that equality of funding was the only way to really ensure fairness of opportunity in education to be able to allow the potential geniuses of the world the chance to better themselves to allow them to make the maximal contribution to world society.  So, my innovation that was not any sort of innovation, was to advocate a world government, and equality of funding for all children all over the world, to ensure the most fair educational environment to most greatly assist in the development of humanity.  In other words, I had to pretend to be a socialist!  I hereby admit my guilt, and let me pay my penance and make up for that essay now.

These days, I can now write what I want to.  There is no teacher.  My limits are my God given conscience, my business sense, and perhaps the guidelines of my email service provider.  (No spam.)

The hypocrisy, insanity, and lunacy of my school essay was that the most socialist form of education, through equality of funding and equality of curriculum, would be required to create that "best free market outcome" of the best education for the most people.  Yeah right!

Let me officially renounce that entire concept.  Globally funded schools would be a horrific nightmare.  It would require global government, global taxes, global re-distribution of wealth, and the elimination of national sovereignty, property rights, and parental rights.  You can't eliminate the teaching of national history in favor of some version of "world history".  History itself, as a subject, is always being entirely re-written depending on the point of view of the person doing the writing.  Politics infect the teaching of history making it a thoroughly diseased subject.  Ditto for economics, history, social studies, and even English classes!

The opposition says, "But education is so important, the government has to DOOOO something!  We spend so much on war, and so little on education!"

(The word "We" in this case means the federal government, and ignores what local governments or parents themselves spend on education!)

Let me counter.  I also believe education is important!  More so.  I believe in education so much, that I've spent my adult years as an independent educator, writing this newsletter, focusing mostly on promoting silver as a way to achieve not only great personal gains, which has been true, but the best way to achieve the most beneficial societal change towards freedom, and restore power to the people and take it away from the globalist banker socialists.

In fact, education is so important, we ought to have the benefits of free market competition in education, not only to lower costs, but to get the much better results that we all need and desire!  For example, this newsletter is free.

But a key point here is that if government is teaching the kids, then we don't have education, and it cannot be education, but rather propaganda; it will always push a pro government point of view, and does.

Government education almost is incapable of teaching even the concept that government is bad, causes problems, stifles the economy, does more harm than good, is morally corrupt, derives its power from the threat of force, is composed of murderers, and when left unopposed, has become the greatest source of mass murder throughout history.

Government schools cannot teach about how government debt causes the government to become a servant to the moneylenders rather than a servant of the people.  Government schools cannot teach that a government in debt is a government that has been overthrown already, and serves a different master.  Government schools cannot teach that the government issued money is fraudulent, a disastrous experiment, and leads to the concentration of power in the hands of the creators of that money.

Government schools are literally required to teach lies as truths, and so they do.  How can that benefit the kids?  Any kid with any insight at all will hate it, and rightly so.

Over the years, many of my readers have lamented "the taking of God out of the schools."  And they complain to me thinking that since I'm a sincere Christian, that I will understand, and that I would advocate putting God back into public schools.  But how can God be in schools that use stolen funds (taxes) to fund it?  In my view, it would be sacrilegious to let thieves teach about God, is it not?

sac·ri·le·gious
adj.
1. Grossly irreverent toward what is or is held to be sacred.

See, government funded schools must, by necessity, have an irreverent attitude towards private property, since stealing from property owners is the source of their funding!  Teachers have a biased, built-in incentive to have envy against property owners, from whom their salaries are derived.  Government funded schools cannot help but bash free market capitalism at every turn.  And it's a rare case when they don't.

Government funded schools are almost completely incapable of teaching the constitution or the revolutionary war that founded this nation, especially more so these days, as the government continues to trample the constitution through ever higher income taxes that violate most of the bill of rights, and make us all slaves of the bankers or Federal Reserve.

Oh, you think that's dangerous sentiment, wait, I'm just getting started.

=====

I published a preview of this article to my facebook page:  (If you ask to be my friend, I'll say yes.).
https://www.facebook.com/jason.hommel

At my page, someone opined:  "[Teachers] do need a union or they would be working for a cot and one meal a day."

I'll respond:  This is exactly the kind of anti free market sentiment that needs to be refuted.  That is a belief.  It may or may not be true.  Some teachers might make more in a free market, and some might make less.  Perhaps teachers make less today because the people are not happy with the product?  Perhaps the best teachers would make much more in a free market world where there was competitive bidding for the best teachers.  Perhaps teachers are overpaid today because the skill set needed to be a teacher is fairly low compared to higher paying jobs?  Perhaps teachers are overpaid today because the negotiation are between unions and government officials who did not earn the money they are spending?  Perhaps teachers would make more in a free market where people were a lot wealthier where people's incomes were not being attacked by taxes and fees from excessive government at all sides?

Another reader responded:

Education is free:
https://www.khanacademy.org/

=====

Back to my "dangerous sentiments".

The founding fathers fought a war over the concept of paying less than 1% of incomes in tax rates.  Every fourth of July I take a moment to be thankful that we don't have to pay 1% taxes because of the revolutionary war.

Wait, wait, I'm still just getting warmed up.

The opposition chimes in to introduce the next subject:  BUUUUUTTTT Jason!  Nothing is going to change in education because of the teacher's unions!  They always oppose every change like student vouchers that would enable parents to select the school they like, and bring real free market competition to schools!

And these days, I read about teachers making in excess of $100,000 per year in certain districts!

Teachers unions?  Teachers unions?! Any teacher in a union is already a socialist, pushing socialism, participating in socialism, having been subverted, becoming a advocate for their own interests instead of the interests of the Children or for the laissez faire free market competition enshrined by our nation's founders in the Constitution.

Here's a proposed solution already contained in the constitution, on the basis of rule of law.  District Attorneys have discretion to prosecute all teachers who belong to any teacher's unions or have "tenure", and charge them with being traitors to the constitution, an enemy of the state, as their very funding and existence poses a bankruptcy threat to the state, thus having subverted the state, causing the state to bow to their interests instead of the people's interest?  Yeah, Jason, but what jury would agree?  I know, I know!

OK, yes, of course that was over the top.  Of course, I jest.  We don't actually have nearly enough respect for the rule of law among the people for any kind of desire to put to death any traitors to the constitution.  Especially not when the worst traitors to the constitution have been in charge for decades.  In fact, it's the constitutionalists these days who are more likely to be labeled "domestic terrorists" by the out of control government in charge.

So, I hereby state for the record that I'm not advocating the death penalty for government teachers in teacher's unions.

Instead, how about we all just fire them instead?  Or defund public education entirely, before the collapse of the currency will force that outcome anyway?  Yes, see how reasonable that sounds by comparison?

See, I was using a literary technique called hyperbole.  It's making an exaggeration to make a point.  Look it up.  If you don't know what it is, maybe it's because you went to public schools.  HA HA!  I'm a stinker.  Throwing insults around like that if people don't understand or agree.  Sorry, the saying, "maybe you went to public schools" is a common insulting joke among us libertarians, even though most of us did go to public school, myself included.

I was taught that the Constitution was an agreement "of the people".  Since school, I've learned that it's an agreement between the State Governments.

I was taught that the Constitution gives us rights.  Since school, I've learned that the Constitution recognized certain rights the pre-existed among the people before there was a Federal Government.

One last point.  I'm not a Constitutionalist!  Yup, I don't like the Constitution.  In my view, if the Constitution is hancuffs for the Federal Government, providing limits on its powers, then the Constitution it is far too weak.  There are at least 5 powers in the Constitution delegated to the Federal Government, that in my opinion, should never have been delegated to it.  In summary, they are the power to go into debt, the power to levy tariffs, the power to limit immigrants, the power to grant patents (monopolies), the power to set the values of silver and gold, and I wrote on this here:

The Constitution gives the U.S. too much Power  March 12, 2009

Two other ways to limit government power are through jury nullification, and through issuing indictments of corrupt government officials through the grand jury process.

But the best way to limit govenment power is to buy silver, and to advocate that other people buy silver !

I almost censored this entire letter, due to the way I presented my view in such an extreme way.  But the same day, I saw an interesting news story:

MISSOURI GOP REP. TURNS THE TABLES ON DEMS: INTRODUCES BILL THAT MAKES PROPOSING GUN CONTROL LAWS A FELONY

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/19/missouri-gop-rep-turns-the-tables-on-dems-introduces-bill-that-makes-proposing-gun-control-laws-a-felony/

See, I'm not the only freedom minded individual who is realizing that maybe it's time to try to push for our views, even if they fail, just to get a bit of publicity and make a point.

Getting back on point, there are two simple solutions now.  Homeschooling.  And private schools.  And my kids are learning a handful from me as it is!

And what better way to pay for that, than by investing into silver now?  And so, I have.  Have you?

Silver Bull Market 10 Year Review

(Ten Years now, really!)

Silver Stock Report

by Jason Hommel, February 17th, 2013

The silver to gold ratio is the number of ounces of silver equal in value to one ounce of gold.

Silver to Gold Ratio Today: 54:1
Silver to Gold Ratio Ten Years ago: 80:1
Silver to Gold Ratio for over 200 years: 15:1
Silver to Gold Ratio expected in the future: 10:1 or even 5:1

Conclusion: You can make 5 to 10 times more money if you buy physical silver, rather than gold, as silver's gains outpace the returns of gold in the future.

Why will Silver's gains continue to outpace gold?

1.  Silver has been consumed by the electronics industry ever since WWII, consuming on average 7 tenths of an ounce of silver per person, in the industrialized world for the past 68 years.

2.  Silver has been demonetized, meaning, not used as a circulating currency, anywhere in the world for about the past 49 years.  This lower demand has allowed for the possibility of the over consumption of silver in point number one, without driving the price through the roof.  To further decrease investment demand for silver, the world's experts estimate that over 99% of investment demand for silver has been diverted away from physical silver into alternative paper silver investments such as ETF shares, allocated and unallocated accounts, futures, options, certificates, & storage programs.  In summary, if any LBMA member bank or broker and even many non LBMA brokers, has any of your money "in physical silver" it is likely not silver, but fraud.  In the world of silver, if you did not lift it, if you did not touch it, if you've never seen it, then 99% of the time, you don't own it, then you can be 99% sure that your money was never spent on silver and that your money has been diverted away from silver.

3.  Monetary demand for silver and gold is returning, primarily as a store of value and as a form of savings and investment, because all the governments of the world continue to print up far too much paper money to pay for government spending that is counterproductive and hurts the economy.  The lack of political will to reign in spending will continue to propel the gains in silver for at least the next decade.

The real physical silver market remains tiny.  Only about $3 billion per year is flowing into physical silver for investment, about 100 million oz. at $30/oz.  This is bound to vastly increase as government spending continues, as the US government spends about $1500 billion more per year than they collect in taxes, which means they have to print that money, which devalues the rest of the dollars, which causes the prices of all things to go up, and especially causes rare things with lasting value, like silver, to go up even more.

=====

In the spring of 2003, gold prices had moved decisively above the $330/oz. level, up to even $350 to $360, up from hitting a double bottom of about $250/oz. in 1999 and 2001.  Silver was lagging, and hit a new low at $4.15/oz.

In the spring of 2003, it was time for silver prices to catch up to the move up in gold prices.  Silver prices did catch up, and surpass gold prices, by way of percentage gains.  The price ratio went from about 80:1, down to about 50 to 1 today.

http://silverprice.org/silver-price-history.html

=====

Back in 2003, the consensus among most investors regarding silver was that if silver presented such a great deal, then silver mining stocks would outperform silver.  That was correct until about 2006, when the entire mining and exploration sector got overheated.  By 2008, the silver price crashed from $20/oz. to $9/oz., in a price manipulation orchestrated by JP Morgan who took over Bear Stearns who had a large short position in silver.  This price decline really helped to take down the prices among mining stocks, as investors began to flee the sector, fearing even brokerage collapse failure as among the risks to consider when buying mining stocks.  Among other risks are naked short selling of mining shares, and in general, a lack of trust in regulators and brokers throughout the entire system.

The mining industry has yet to recover, and many analysts continue to wonder why so many smaller cap mining shares and exploration stocks continue to lag the prices of silver and gold which have done very well over the last decade.

Regardless of the opportunities in the mining and exploration stocks, it is my opinion that silver and gold will continue to do very well for investors in the USA over the next decade due to political spending.  But the rest of the world's currencies have the same problem, and in most cases, remain in worse condition politically.

Silver and gold have been in substantial bull markets for the past ten years in all currencies, going up from 200% to 400%, and will likely continue this trend for the next decade.

=====

Hommel's current short term price predictions:

Silver should continue to do better than the last ten year average of about 22% per year, on average, from $4.15 to $30 over ten years.  Expect 30% per year, on average.  Expect silver to do worse right after it has gained more than 30% in the prior year, and expect silver to do better after a year when it has done worse.

Silver prices have stagnated, consolidated for the past two years from the prior peak of just under $50/oz.

I expect silver prices near $45 to $50 before the end of 2013.  $50 will likely be an epic price battle that may last 6 months to a year.

Silver should hit $75 to $125 in the next peak or run up, likely sometime before the end of 2014.

Emgold December 2012 Corporate Pesentation:
http://www.emgold.com/i/pdf/CorporatePresentation_Dec2012.pdf

As of Dec. 1, 2012
Shares Outstanding: 60,008,605
Fully Diluted including all options and warrants: 100,715,671
Share Price:  ..05/share CDN

Market Cap: $3 million CDN

The Idaho Maryland Mine, one of Emgold's top projects, in my hometown of Grass Valley, is one of the highest grade gold mines in the world.

Gold Resources (NI 43-101 Tech Report)
Measured Resources:
1.10 million tonnes at 0.21 ounces per tonne = 212,000 oz. of gold

Indicated Resources:
0.57  million tonnes at 0.48 ounces per tonne = 259,000 oz. of gold

Measured and Indicated Resources
1.67 million tonnes at 0.28 ounces per tonne = 472,000 oz. of gold

Inferred Resources
2.57 million tonnes at 0.39 ounces per tonne = 1,002,000 oz. of gold

That's a total of 1,945,000 ounces of gold.

The exploration potential is up to 3-5 million ounces of gold, or even more.

Emgold's last feasibility study projected their Idaho Maryland mine being economically profitable with gold prices at $420/oz.  At $1600/oz., this leaves $1,200/oz. as pure profit.

They plan to be able to produce up to 200,000 oz./year, x $1,200/oz., giving a profit of about $240 million/year, or more as gold prices increase.

For a $3 million market cap company?!  Why is this stock so cheap?

They need to raise around $125 to $175 million to start mining.  That's nothing given the potential profit.

But it's difficult to raise money now with gold still so misunderstood and ignored by investors.

Gold mining has returned to California, with numerous other projects across the state getting permitted.

Underground mines within a three mile radius of Idaho-Maryland Mine produced 13 million ounces of gold from 1850 to the mid-1950’s.

My hometown of Grass Valley is where the hydrolic gold mining method was once practiced.  There are huge water nozzels, stamping mills, and water wheels scattered around town, as historical relics of the rich gold mining history of the town.

I own 540,000 shares of Emgold stock, purchased at around 10 cents/share, and nobody has paid me to write about Emgold.

Silver Stock Report: God on Guns

God, Guns, and Death

(Ok, so these are my views on guns, inspired by the Bible, and God)

Silver Stock Report

by Jason Hommel, February 1st, 2013

This month, the nation is focused on guns.  If you can't defend your life, or your silver, then there is a problem.  Here are a few of my God inspired, Biblically based, thoughts.

It is a God given right, and a natural right to own, and use, guns for self defense.  Here are a few supporting verses, but there are plenty more.

[Mat 10:34] Think not that I am come to send peace on earth:  I came not to send peace, but a sword.

[Luke 22:36] Then said He unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

[Luke 22:38] And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

[Luke 22:49] When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

[John 18:10] Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

[John 18:11] Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

[Mat 26:52] Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Spiders have poison bites.
Snakes have poisonous fangs.
Tigers and Lions have claws and fangs.
Bees and Scorpions have stingers.

God made it so that animals can defend themselves, and/or attack other things to eat them.

God given rights, and natural rights, are higher rights than Constitutional rights.  What the constitution giveth, the constitution can take away.  But nobody can take away God given and natural rights, without evil and oppression and upsetting God's natural order of things, and they that try, risk and ask to bring death upon themselves if they try.

Now, some people will say I'm taking scripture out of context there, and I know that they have their own interpretation.  I'll get to that.  I know.

But did you know that for everything Jesus said, there are at least two opinions, the wrong one for the world, and the right one that the followers of Jesus will know?

See, Jesus spoke in parables, on purpose, to hide understanding from the wicked.

Mat 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

John 1:5  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Consider that last one.  The light shines, and they cannot understand it.  That means that no matter how hard we try, no matter how much logic we bring to the table, no matter what facts we share, no matter how much lives are proven to be saved from our point of view, it will not convince the wicked who are hell bent on killing as many people as they can to "save" humanity from the "evil danger" of overpopulation.  Anytime you see anyone worried about or warning about overpopulation, you can know they have been deceived by pure evil. Get away from that person as quickly as possible.

Even more interesting, is that the wrong views are often in the Churches!  It took me a longer time to learn this mystery, and longer still to grasp the purpose of it.

1 Corinthians 11:19  For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

Evil exists so that we who are of the light can be seen more clearly by way of contrast!  Wow!  What a thought!  So with that background, use your discernment and judgment on what follows.

I will confidently now say that it's the evil people who must say that Jesus did not want his followers to be armed, even though Jesus told them to buy swords.  It's evil people whose interpretation requires Jesus to be deceiving to his own disciples, so he could "teach them a lesson" that supposedly they did not need swords.  It's the evil view that has Jesus having his disciples owning arms, and not using them, purely for the purpose of "bluffing, which is lying", or for the purpose of showing why they did not need them.

But note, Jesus did not tell his disciples to throw away their swords, nor sell them, but rather, he told them to put it back into its place.   In other words, "holster it".

"Put up again thy sword into his place"

And right after that, Jesus spoke the reason why they are to be armed:

"for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword."

See, here's now how evil must interpret that, and twists that phrase to read:

Remember, evil twists things, as Peter notes about how evil people twisted the words of Paul:

[2 Peter 3:16]  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Evil reads the words of Jesus and insert their own bias such as the following: "anyone (a evil citizen) who dares to be armed (for selfish self defense), is to be killed by a gun (by good government)."

Good people read those words of Jesus and know how to insert their own valid righteous understanding:  "all they that take the sword (such as a corrupt governments, or thieves, or rapists, or deranged killers), shall perish with the sword (such as may be wielded by those who are more righteous and who have the right to defend themselves from tyranny, oppression, thievery, or rapes, so as to preserve and encourage life and freedom).

See, you basically have to be a worshiper of Government, and believe that Jesus was a liar and a deceiver, in order to support gun control.  The righteous view, on the other hand has Jesus saying true and natural things, and views Jesus as the "King of Kings".

See, the result of evil is gun control, which leads to "their own destruction", and the fruit of which is the mass murders of over 100 million people who were disarmed and then slaughtered by their own governments in the last 100 years alone.

The result of good is America, with the freedom to own guns to defend life, and prevent mass slaughter by a rogue government that may get taken over by a military coup, or be overthrown by religious nut cases.

There are pacifists.  I can respect their right to not defend themselves; as it only harms them; and they would reap the fruit of their own wrong way, as it should be.  But they ought not to inflict, with violence and government force, and death, their views on the rest of the people who do believe in the right to defend not only themselves, but also their own families and innocent children who are too young to own guns for their own protection.

The utter hypocrisy of gun control advocates, is that their view requires a government with guns, using guns, to use force, to even kill, to take away the guns of citizens.

Literally, gun control advocates would be happy to slaughter tens of millions of Americans in a civil war on guns, merely to maybe save the lives of 20 kids.  It's insane, and pure evil.  What really kills people is the gun free zones, which makes it nearly impossible to stop killers after they kill one or two people.

Let me refute another argument against guns.

There is a dangerous argument for gun control that says that when the first amendment was written, it was during a time when there were only muskets, and therefore, it should not apply to semi automatic weapons, and therefore reasonable restrictions on guns should be allowed.  People also use this same type of argument to claim that the Biblical text can only apply to swords, and not guns.

This is false reasoning.  First of all, I hope you caught it, I already refuted this by saying that the right to own guns is not from the Constitution, but it's from God, and it's a natural right.

Second, if we followed that false logic, then freedom of speech should not apply to the internet, but only to books and pamphlets printed on a Gutenberg printing press, which, of course, is ridiculous.

But my next point is stronger, and is a good concluding rebuttal.  As Judge Andrew Napolitano recently pointed out:

"The historical reality of the Second Amendment’s protection of the right to keep and bear arms is not that it protects the right to shoot deer. It protects the right to shoot tyrants, and it protects the right to shoot at them effectively, with the same instruments they would use upon us."

This means that the people should be able to own fully automatic guns, with unlimited clips, magazines, or those bullets connected in long straps, in my opinion.  After all, those are antiquated weapons, used in World War I, nearly 100 years ago now.  The people should be able to arm themselves with weapons that are far superior to that, and up to date.  I'll let you ponder that one.

Note, as I was composing this letter, WND came out with an editorial saying that the people should be free to own machine guns.

http://www.wnd.com/2013/01/time-to-roll-back-all-gun-bans/

The revolutionary war was fought and won because free people owned cannons, yes, cannons, that they brought to the battlefields, and because free people owned multiple cannons that they were able to mount on ships, and take to sea, using the Letter of Marque and Reprisal to fight the British, on their own, and keep most of the spoils of war for themselves.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_of_marque

Ok, I've heard the shrill protests that ignore the point of discussion, and move on to some other issue, after I make an irrefutable point like that.

"But Jason, guns are used to KIIIIILLLLLLL people!!!! How unChristian!!

Yes, guns are used to kill, or "cause death".  I get that.

This brings me to the death penalty.  But before I get there, let's talk about freedom again.

I consider myself to be a very strong believer in the benefits of freedom.  For me, freedom is next to Godliness.

2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

But I've learned that freedom is just not suitable for everyone, because many people abuse it, and many people just don't have the Spirit of the Lord, and for them, they are not only slaves to sin, but we, as a society have decided that we must put them in prison.

But why prison?  Is that what God said to do?  No.  There are no prison sentences in the Bible.  Instead, in the Bible, there is restitution, and the death penalty, but there is no prison.  Well, Paul and John the Baptist were thrown in prison, but there is no Levitical command to imprison people for crimes.  Saying that they were in prison, to imply prisons are good, would be taking scripture out of context.

As much as I love Ron Paul, I believe Ron Paul is wrong on the issue of the Death Penalty, as Ron Paul has said the government should not be engaged in it.  But that's just about the only valid role that Government has, according to the Bible.

[Rom 13:3] For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
[Rom 13:4] For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Originally, way back in 1 Samuel 8, the reason people wanted a king, who would oppress them with high taxes, was to fight their battles for them; in other words, kill their enemies.  And that's what government is, threats and force to kill.  That's all they can really do.  The expansion of government and laws are simply more threats to fine, imprison, or ultimately kill people if they don't comply with numerous regulations.

Why should society be burdened with incarcerating people at such a high cost that is supposedly rivals that of a college education every year?

http://www.lao.ca.gov/laoapp/laomenus/sections/crim_justice/6_cj_inmatecost.aspx?catid=3

It costs $47,102 per year to imprison someone each year in California.

One of the arguments against the death penalty is that executing it costs more than the cost to incarcerate someone for life.

But why does the death penalty cost so much?  Throwing stones should cost nothing.  It's less than the cost of a fifty cent bullet, since stones can be re-used!  In my opinion, the reason the death penalty is not carried out, as God intended, is because we, as a culture, are not righteous enough to believe that God's ways are best.

Apparently, we are arrogant enough to think that bankrupting the nation, and enslaving our children into debt repayments for these incarceration costs, is morally superior.

Quick math check:  3 million prisoners in the USA x $47,000 = $141 billion per year.  Not an insubstantial sum.

Particularly given the fact that the entire world silver market is only about 700 million oz. of production per year, x $31/oz. = $22 billion per year.

I think the real reason that America has a paranoia about Guns, or why the Godless Liberals in charge have such a paranoia, is that they are paranoid about judgment and death, because they have no trust in God, and no trust in God's ways, and no trust in the resurrection to eternal life at the rapture.

In my experience, unGodly people fear being judged by God, as scripture says:

Hebrews 10:26-27  If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

See, evil people will be "consumed".  Killed.  And they expect it, know it, and fear it, in an all consuming way.

Justifiable Homicide is not a crime.  It's justice.  This means that killing is not always bad, but can sometimes, under certain specific circumstances, be good.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justifiable_homicide

Remember, God brought the flood on an evil and wicked world in the time of Noah.  We modern people tend to forget this, one of the first of the Bible stories, that even kids should learn.

These days, I have to find the humor in the Godless Liberal view that wants to ban the death penalty.  Really?  I'm tempted to mocklingly ask:

"Do you mean to say that if you pass a law, then we will all be allowed to live forever?  Because we are all suffering under God's decreed death penalty of inherited sin from Adam and Eve, which caused all of mankind to die before the age of 1000.  And then, all of mankind are also suffering under a second death penalty that was instituted after the time of Noah which limited the time of man's life on earth to about 120 years, because man was so wicked."

The only cure for these death penalties is to put our faith and trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Mat 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Thanks for reading to the end today, I know this was long.  While you ponder these things, and while the truth may be upsetting and ruinous to your previous worldview, consider buying silver.  protect your wealth.  It's also a God given natural right to protect your wealth and yourself from the ravages of out of control government spending that leads to inflation and the devaluation of your dollars.
